I’ve developed a fascination with restoring antique tools to working order, and depending on my goal and their value, sometimes going an extra step or two to make them appear pristine.

In some cases, the patina and originality are desirable, of course. In these instances great care is taken to to not damage the item.

These are ongoing or completed restoration projects of varying kinds, documented with modifications or the thought process that went into them.

I’m interested in developing this skill set further to provide restoration services, and to pass on restored tools I do not need in my collection to those looking to use them.
